I began my career in aged care in 1997, working at residential aged care homes in South West Sydney before relocating to the NSW South Coast. I have held positions in direct care, education, medication assistance, and as a team leader.

I have represented members at our enterprise agreement negotiations, during which time I formed and grew our workplace branch into one of the largest aged care branches in NSW.

I have been advocating for ratios in aged care, making trips to Canberra to speak with Members of Parliament about noncompliance with direct care minutes and the need to hold providers accountable.

I believe collaboration between all sectors, public health, private hospitals, aged care, and primary care, is needed to address issues such as bed block and workplace violence. Representation by all sectors is needed in our leadership.

I hope to represent our members as we continue to stand up for safe workplaces, improved pay and conditions, and the provision of quality health care services.
