Taking the NSWNMA forward

The Whaites Bough leadership is focused on winning better lives for nurses, midwives, carers and your families. We are doing this through winning improved wages and conditions, and taking action on social issues such as housing affordability, and climate change. We will continue to stand up for the professions of nursing and midwifery, working with members to shape the reforms that the health, primary, and aged care systems need. 

Our professions are facing existing and emerging threats,  including workforce shortages and increasing demand on services, as well as new opportunities, such as the introduction of artificial intelligence, and working to our full scope of practice. The Whaites Bough Team has the experience and dedication to lead your union in advancing our professions, heading off the threats, and taking the opportunities that lay before us. 

We will act to ensure that members of the NSWNMA have a strong, powerful, and effective voice at work, within your professions, on behalf of your communities, and wherever decisions are made.
